🥇 Lessons from an Experienced Operator
I was at Amzn early '00s when we lost 95% of our market cap. Later at FB I negotiated a down-round in '09, and then in '12 our stock dropped 50% post-IPO. I was on the board of a public company that went bankrupt (Borders) and a start-up that went under (Hello). Some lessons:

🥈 4 Types of Product-Market Fit
An oldie but a goodie
Product-Market fit is often viewed as a static concept: either you have it or you don’t.
In my experience, it is better to think of fit as a dynamic state based on your progress towards your vision & know what fit you currently have.

Having a tech background helps. I posted an ad on Upwork for specific tasks I needed. A technical roadmap, and an MVP definition were crucial for me to move ahead.
Upwork allowed me to find @MatthewZRuiz and that progressed into greater cooperation. The next steps were easy.

That’s how I met mine.

6 months of grinding:
A lot of whiffs.
Even more “it’s not you, it’s me.”
Nurtured relationships even after no’s.
Eventually, one of our very 1st and very favorite candidates came back and the stars aligned for everyone.
So, a little bit of luck and lots of work.
